Generally, I would never use an interlocking type retaining wall because they are "fish nor fowl"; they belong as civil engineering structures out of view because they do not tend to harmonize with either a naturalized effect or an architectonic effect. They don't "fit" with anything--in nature, in architectural applications or otherwise.
