LATICRETE Celebrates Anniversary

LATICRETE www.laticrete.com is a family-owned, world-wide manufacturer of construction materials. The company is known for its thin-set adhesives and thin load-bearing waterproofing membranes; the development of sound and anti-fracture one-step adhesive mortars; adhered masonry veneers and 'Supercap,' a method of finishing new concrete or capping existing slabs. Henry Rothberg is the founder and chairman emeritus; David Rothberg is chairman and CEO.

LATICRETE celebrated its 60th anniversary during the Surfaces Conference at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, January 20-22, with the theme "60 Years of Building Chemistry", which recognized its significant products and relationships the company has built over the years.

The company was founded on Dr. Henry Rothberg's pioneering work in the field of chemical engineering. He developed an "adhesive mortar method" for setting of ceramic tile and stone, now the basis for modern adhesives used in installing ceramic tile and stone.
