Bluegrass Heights Farm Lexington, Kentucky

Bluegrass Heights Farm is a Kentucky ASLA Chapter award winner. The complete renovation of the historic horse farm was led by the landscape architect. The English owner wanted a "Proper Garden" she could stroll through while visiting the Bluegrass State. The farm was artfully designed and environmentally sensitive.

Morgan Farm, Austin, Indiana

Morgan Farm is a place for the owner to enjoy. Mr. Esarey designed the farm landscape to least impact the site. On this farm are quarter horses, buffalo, hunting dogs, quails and pheasants. The design work included a lake, trails, pastures and indoor and outdoor arenas.

Morgan Residence, Austin, Indiana

This Olmsted Brothers landscape update was featured in the January 2016 issue of LASN https://www.landscapearchitect.com/research/article.php/28092. It is also a Kentucky ASLA Chapter award winner. Bill Esarey investigated the archival documents and pieced together a garden for the Morgans that was as true to the Olmsted documents as possible.

Mt. Brilliant, Lexington, Kentucky

Mt. Brilliant is a Kentucky ASLA Chapter Honor Award winner. Over the last 10 years Mr. Esarey has helped to develop the 1,300 acre Bluegrass Farm into a state-of-the-art thoroughbred facility. Creator, the 2016 Belmont winner, was bred at Mt. Brilliant.


William E. Esarey"?uwee landscape architecture"?uis a boutique practice specializing in creating great places for people. Mr. Esarey has 35 years of varied professional experience. He is the sole employee, and celebrating 10 years in business. Bill wants to make sure he knows every detail of a project and the clients' expectations. In addition to clients across the U.S., project work extends to Ireland, England, the United Arab Emirates, India and China. Mr. Esarey has won 10 ASLA chapter awards, has been included in two PBS documentaries and published in Architectural Digest, LASN and numerous regional publications.
