The Cottages Capstone Development, Baton Rouge, Louisiana

DDG was responsible for the planning, civil engineering and landscape architecture of this 382 unit student-housing complex near the campus of Louisiana State University. The development encompasses 58 acres and features one to five bedroom units, spread among cottages and large lodge buildings.

RACETRAC, New Gas Stations Across the Gulf Coast

DDG provided site planning, stormwater management and landscape design for the development of numerous gas stations and convenience stores for RaceTrac across the Gulf Coast. DDG's landscape architects are among several landscape architects across the country that have assisted RaceTrac in developing its landscape design standards.

Fireman's Skate Park, Terrebonne Parish, Consolidated Government, Houma, Louisiana

DDG provided comprehensive design services from master planning to construction administration of this 8,500 square feet skate park in Houma, Louisiana. The building features shipping containers salvaged from local landfills to reduce the amount of refuse, and uses them in an architectural fashion with indigenous landscape. The skate park project was controversial. DDG assisted the client in identifying the best location to encourage the most use from the general public.

L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College, Thompson Construction Co., Schriever, Louisiana

As a Design-Build-Assist project, DDG worked with the owner and contractor in providing a new campus that met the needs of the Community College system. The landscape architect provided a simple, yet graceful landscape design that complimented the architectural style with a southern Louisiana charm.

Assumption Parish Community Center, Assumption Parish Government, Napoleonville, Louisiana

The park adjacent to the Assumption Parish Community Center is just east of Bayou Lafourche. The open space design also helps mitigate stormwater runoff before discharging into the bayou. The park has a picnic pavilion, benches, a walking trail, simple placement of trees and a splash of ornamental flowering shrubbery.


Duplantis Design Group, PC (DDG) was founded in 1997 by David Duplantis, PE, as a small engineering firm. DDG has grown into a multidisciplinary regional firm with five company locations and over 75 employees.
