Chris Reed's innovative award-winning work integrates ecology and infrastructure. His thought provoking designs distinguish him as one of the leading practitioners of his generation. He is a prominent author and lecturer, and a faculty member of the Harvard Graduate School of Design (since 2008) and the University of Pennsylvania earlier on. Among his firm's prestigious honors is the 2012 Smithsonian/Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in landscape architecture. His work comprises large-scale master plans for Detroit, brownfield river and lakefronts in Dallas, Green Bay and Mississauga, Ontario, to public waterfronts and campus/institutional landscapes. His work includes playgrounds and garden installations in Boston, Cambridge and Somerville, Mass., and Grand-Mètis, Quebec.
