studioINSITE was planner and landscape architect for the 10-acre Semper Fidelis Memorial Park at the National Museum of the U.S. Marine Corps. The park and chapel grounds are designed as a place for reflection and inspiration, serving as a memory of the fallen or missing comrades and shipmates as expressed in the Marines' motto, Semper Fidelis ("Always Faithful"). It is intended to convey the naval character of the corps through bold, geometric and formal landscape gestures. The informal braiding of paths, memorial walls and rallying points evoke the emotional qualities of honor, courage, and commitment.
