Xeric Demonstrations Gardens Colorado Springs, Colorado

Xeric Demonstration Gardens are a small part of the multi-year campus landscape conversion that will extend area water supplies and conserve water for future generations. The USAA campus is reducing blue grass turf areas by 60 percent, converting them to low-water native turf and planting beds. Various water-wise alternatives have been demonstrated to reduce water consumption from 25 to 100 percent, versus high water use plants and turf. The gardens will provide a community resource for learning regional landscape water conservation methods.
