Weyyakin Ranch Sun Valley, Idaho

Lyon Landscape Architects developed a comprehensive master plan to enhance this 30-year old, 110-acre, 75-single family home development. Working under the strict guidelines associated with being adjacent to a scenic byway, phase 1 was a redesign of the two main entrances and 10 individual court entries. The signage was updated, as was the plant palette, while maintaining the architectural qualities of the peeler logs, river rock walls and the ranch style overhead structure.

Indian Creek Residence Hailey, Idaho

Indian Creek Ranch is a 2,500-acre planned community that has 2,000-plus acres designated as open space. Through numerous design phases the residence has been transformed into gardens and open spaces consisting of native grasses, shrubs, trees and shale installed around patios and custom water features. The south yard of this residence has been kept open for passive solar heating of the home and distant views. The north yard is more intimate with the addition of a bow-tie perennial garden, being ideal for meals and a place to visit with neighbors.
