Course Description Join Reginald Durant fro Back to Natives to learn all about landscaping with native plants. Landscaping with natives conserves water an increasingly scarce natural resource, and saves money. Using natives eliminates the need for pesticides, which harm beneficial insects and other animals, and reduces our exposure to toxic substances. Natives also require less mowing, pruning and fertilizing. A well planned native plant landscape even attracts birds and butterflies. See examples of beautiful landscape quality native plants that can substitute for traditional landscape plants. Objectives: Participants will know at least three benefits of landscaping with native plants. Participants will see (and receive a handout listing) at least 40 native plants that can replace traditional landscape plants in a landscape design. Biography Reginald founded Back to Natives Restoration in 2005, and he is the current Director of Restoration.
