Course Description


This course will cover new pyrethroid insecticide rules and regulations with regard to contamination of waterways. Attendees will learn how to prevent water contamination as well as new applications and techniques.

Biography
Mr. Lopez is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona Polytechnic University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Biology, with an emphasis in Integrated Pest Management. He started his career as a sales representative with Univar in June of 1990, and is currently the Manager for Turf & Ornamental Products.

In 1998 Bert Lopez became a Board Certified Entomologist, recognized by the Entomological Society of America, and is also a Licensed Pest Control Adviser and Certified Arborist. In January of 2001 Lopez was hired by Cal Poly Pomona to teach part time as a professor of Entomology where he teaches upper division courses in insect biology and identification.

Lopez is also an active member of the Entomological Society of America, Pest Control Operators of California, National Pest Management Association, Fumigators Group of Southern CA., California Pest Control Advisers Association, Pesticide Applicators Professional Association, International Society of Aboriculture, California Landscape Contractors Association, Arizona Landscape Contractors Association, and California Association of Nurserymen.
