Course Description:
Join Reginald Durant from Back to Natives to learn all about landscaping with native plants. Landscaping with natives conserves water ?EUR??,,????'??? an increasingly scarce natural resource ?EUR??,,????'??? and saves money. Using natives eliminates the need for pesticides, which harm beneficial insects and other animals, and reduces our exposure to toxic substances. Natives also require less mowing, pruning and fertilizing. A well planned native plant landscape even attracts birds and butterflies. See examples of beautiful landscape quality native plants that can substitute for traditional landscape plants.

Biography:
Reginald Durant is the Director of Restoration for Back to Natives Restoration, a 501c(3) non-profit organization, which he founded. Reginald was the chief landscape designer for the ?EUR??,,????'??Costa Mesa Green Home,?EUR??,,????'?? which is certified ?EUR??,,????'??Platinum?EUR??,,????'??? by the US Green Building Council?EUR??,,????'???s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED??????oe) for Homes Program. Reginald also provided the landscape design for ?EUR??,,????'??Project 319,?EUR??,,????'?? Living Green Homes?EUR??,,????'??? first green single-family residential development, one of the first of its kind in Orange County to earn the Build It Green, GreenPoint Rated designation. Reginald is a guest designer at both the Los Angeles Garden Show at the LA Arboretum and the Southern California Spring Garden Show at South Coast Plaza.
