Course Description: This course will discuss the scope of invasive insects in California and the United States, as well as current diseases and pests in California trees and palms. The speaker will cover tree and palm physiology, methodology used to treat trees and palms for micronutrient deficiencies, diseases, and invasive insects. Other subjects broached will be

University studies of pests and diseases through trunk injection Biography: Lee Mangum is the Southwestern Regional Technical Manager at Arborjet Inc. His experience includes working as a licensed landscape contractor, licensed pest control business operator, licensed pest control advisor, sales professional in seed, pesticides and fertilizers, and he spent six years as a golf course superintendent. Director of Audubon International?EUR??,,????'???s Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program ?EUR??,,????'??? an educational program for landowners and land managers to become better environmental stewards of the property they manage. Mangum is a regular speaker for the Professional Association of Pesticide Applicators (PAPA) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Park Administration with a minor in Ornamental Horticulture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
