The Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) will hold their “Summer Meeting” from Wednesday, August 22nd to Friday, August 24th in Traverse City Michigan at the Traverse City Resort.
This year’s meeting highlights include: Construction Committee; Dues, Bylaws, Membership Committee; Education Committee; Expo/Convention Committee; Government Relations Committee; Hardscape North America Steering Committee; Marketing Committee; and, Technical Committee.
Attendees and members will also have the opportunity to attend the ICPI/NCMA “Beach Party” where attendees can network and connect outside of the meeting room. This event has traditionally been one of the most popular events; the party will be held at the Shores, a private beach area on Lake Michigan’s Grand Traverse Bay and will include live entertainment.
Other optional events (at an additional cost) include:
The ICPI/NCMA Networking Golf Tournament and Dinner being held Saturday, August 25th from 1:00 – 9:00 pm. The tournament will be a shotgun format, it will be held at the Grand Traverse Resort Wolverine Golf Course. Directly following the tournament will be an Awards barbecue dinner, the cost to attend the Golf Tournament and Dinner is $250, to attend the dinner only it is $75. Please note golf clubs can be rented for $35.
A mountain biking trip also being organized for the same day and will begin at 2:00 pm. The mountain biking adventure will take place near the Vasa Single Track Trail, located in the Pere Marquette State Forest. The ride will be approximately 2 – 3 hours and will cover a 12- mile ride through the northern Michigan woodlands. The cost for this event is $40 per person (bikes, helmets and water bottles are included).
