Presented by: Michael Baldwin, Ecogreen Environmental
Thursday October 13 - 9:30 - 11:00 AM

Course Description:

The choice of Class-2 permeable sub-base, which is typically comprised of a very high percentage of fine materials, has very real consequences and unfortunately presents negative consequences over time. The paving of soil surfaces, which prevents stormwater capture, depletes natural aquifers, allows the ground volume to shrink, increases stormwater run-off. Water is a powerful force and can dramatically compromise the effectiveness of sub-base material, resulting in sinkholes and overall instability. There are alternatives which maintain long-term stability, increase stormwater capture, and reduce the possibility of incurring significant EPA fines for contaminated run-off.
