Local Government wants you for Contracting - 1.5 CEU's: PLANET Landscape Industry Certified

Course Description:
The present and future for many local government agencies is in contracting for landscape, tree, janitorial, open space, and weed abatement services with the private sector. The California cities of Brentwood and Roseville have a long and successful history of being at the fore front of contracting with the private sector. However, the public/private partnership is not without its difficulties and many times private companies do not know what it takes to be successful in working with local government. Local government wants you to be a successful contractor and this session will help you to understand what you need to do to get that competitive edge.

Biography:
Craig has over 32 years of experience in municipal parks and recreation and has been a featured speaker at local, state, and national conferences related to parks, recreation, prevention, and contracting for services. He has a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration from California State University, Fresno and a Master?EUR??,,????'?????<
Scott Miller is a Parks and Recreation Manager for the City of Roseville and has been with the City for 6 years. During that time he has aggressively pursued a blended Parks Division focused on creating a solid balance of public employees and private ?EUR??,,????'?????<
