This one hour presentation will cover the topics of fuel quality, ethanol, and lubrication issues in hand-held power equipment. Ringstad will offer solutions that you can use to keep your hand-held equipment operating at peak performance with a longer life span, while keeping repairs to a minimum.

This is an extremely important topic right now because of the changing quality and content of average pump fuels found in the marketplace. Knowledge of these changes, when taken into consideration with Tier III two-cycle and four-cycle mixed technologies, is a MUST for operators that are looking to ensure that revenues keep flowing into the business instead of out due to down time from equipment breakdowns. This presentation will also cover briefly the major differences between Professional Grade equipment versus Homeowner Grade equipment and the impact of counterfeit parts in proper maintenance and repair.

Biography:

Leif Ringstad is the General Sale Manager of Maruyama for North and South America and the Pacific Islands. Previously, Ringstad was National Sales Manager for Samsung Telecommunications, BCS Group, Regional Sales Manager for Samsung, and National Accounts Manager for Samsung. A native of Wisconsin, he lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife, Heidi, and their children where he spends his free time motorcycling and working on a variety of charitable projects.
