Biography:
William Baker is the consultant for all Green Industry Programs at University of California Extension at Riverside. He developed a class titled "Management Skills for Turfgrass and Landscape Managers" and taught it for over 10 years. He holds a degree in environmental studies from the University of Redlands. Additionally Mr. Baker is a certified arborist, a certified golf course superintendent, a California licensed pest control advisor, and a certified landscape irrigation auditor. He is past president of three horticultural professional associations and has authored numerous articles related to issues in the turf and landscape industry.
Course Title: Improve Efficiencies in Grounds Management
Course Description: This presentation addresses what is required to conduct a comprehensive assessment of a turf and landscape maintenance operation. It involves reviewing both the problems, and the opportunities, that are directly related to the physical elements of the site, the infrastructure, and the operating systems that are currently in place. Also described are the measurements and methods used to determine the efficiency and the effectiveness of the operation.
