Several Minnesota-based landscape architecture firms received honors from the chapter in 2010. The awards included: The 2010 Award of Excellence for Public Landscape Design was received by SRF Consulting Group, Inc. for the Silverwood Park project in St. Anthony, Minn. Silverwood Park represents the realization of a special use park focused on providing a stage for the arts in a natural setting. Developed by Three Rivers Park District, Silverwood exemplifies the successful reuse of a historic Salvation Army camp while remaining sensitive to its natural and cultural resources through progressive programming, design innovation and sustainable best management practices.
Merit Awards for Planning and Research were received by the following firms: Coen + Partners, Inc. for the Living Street: A Landscape Illustrating Five Principles for Greenwich South; Hoisington Koegler Group, Inc. for the City of Red Wing (Minnesota) Downtown Action Plan; Damon Farber Associates for its Target Site Design Guidelines ?EUR??,,????'?????<???????????????????????(R)??????oe First Edition, National; and Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. for its Tower Harbor Master Plan in Tower, Minn.
Close Landscape Architecture+ received a Merit Award - Private Landscape Design for the Benedicta Arts Center Courtyard in St. Joseph, Minn. Merit Awards ?EUR??,,????'?????<???????????????????????(R)??????oe Public Landscape Design were received by Coen + Partners, Inc. for the Lavin Bernick Center for University Life in New Orleans and Yaggy Colby Associates, Bryan Carlson Planning and Landscape Architecture for its Rochester Peace Plaza project in Rochester, Minn. The Merit Award ?EUR??,,????'?????<???????????????????????(R)??????oe Residential Design was received by Coen + Partners, Inc. for the firms Sullivan Residence project. The Merit Award ?EUR??,,????'?????<???????????????????????(R)??????oe Unbuilt Works went to Oslund and Associates for the Augsburg College Quad and Campus/City Connections in Minneapolis.
