Course Title: Eco-Friendly Practices to Reduce Cost and Gain Productivity

Course Description: Landscape contractors face growing pressure to comply with water, chemical, noise and emissions restrictions while reducing labor costs and increasing productivity. Zero-turn radius maneuverability that transformed the commercial mowing industry offers considerable advantages in addressing these issues. The Grasshopper Company, a pioneer in the development of zero-turn radius power units, will provide facts, figures and examples comparing common methods of blowing debris, spraying, and aerating versus new high-volume practices which utilize Tier-4I engine powered units and require no auxiliary motors. The overall goal of the course is to introduce crew supervisors to methods of measuring costs associated with these practices and to solutions that offer rapid return on investment which are effective at addressing the pressing environmental issues of our industry.
