Again, the present is a time of opportunity for caretakers of these green spaces. It is also a time of significant challenges. For instance, as many of you have pointed out, the manner in which buildings receive LEED certification provides very little weight or guidance towards preserving grounds and site conditions. As a matter of fact, most sites are left in a condition that creates added difficulties from a maintenance standpoint.

If your site is already leading the field in sustainability, why not share your practices with others? Put the ?EUR??,,????'?????<

Now is the time for the grounds professional to learn all they can about the latest in green technologies. Recognizing this need, the Professional Grounds Management Society most recently hosted several education programs on sustainability at its Regional Grounds Management Seminar & Site visitation in Dallas, Texas (March 6-7). Some of these topics included the proper maintenance of LEED landscapes and incorporating organic fertilizers into your operations. As was the case this past year, PGMS?EUR??,,????'?????<
