Timothy Coppola has more than thirty years of extensive experience worldwide, in the planning and design of mixed-use and urban design projects. He is a registered landscape architect in three states and past president of both the ASLA-NCC and the BSLA. Janet Taber Coppola is a graduate of Radcliffe College with a Certificate in landscape design.
Sensitively sited among the rolling hills of Contra Costa County in Northern California, the complex is the first phase of a new 384-acre campus that serves this East Bay community. The first phase of the campus comprises 120,000 square feet of educational and instructional classrooms, administration and faculty offices, physical plant, cafeteria and terraced parking for an ultimate capacity of 1,400 cars.
The client purchased a tract house next to a small lake and wanted to add a zero entry swimming pool and cabana for use by elderly parents and other family members. Since the site is very small, constrained and congested, Taber Coppola developed the pool with an infinity edge in order to make the space appear expansive by taking advantage of the borrowed view of the lake.
