This eighty-acre sports field complex in Santa Rosa is the reuse of an effluent storage pond site that was a surplus property owned by the city of Santa Rosa Public Utilities. This park is a model for effective reuse and recycling of water and promotes principles of both water cleansing and ground water recharge. Storm water and irrigation water from the fields is routed through a series of grassy swales before being released into Santa Rosa Creek. Additionally, effluent water is stored in one remaining pond and is used for irrigation for the sports fields.
This community park and sports field complex is 34 acres in size and features a synthetic track, football field, soccer field and five lighted softball fields. There is also a restroom building and snack kiosk. Carlile ?EUR??,,????'???? Macy assembled a team of subconsultants whose expertise was perfectly suited to the project and has since completed several school field projects with the same team.
