San Leandro Marina Connections Plan, San Leandro

The San Leandro Marina Connections Plan is a conceptual development plan for the city of San Leandro?EUR??,,????'???s public waterfront. This 70-acre area, to be known as the Monarch Bay Resort, consists of an active 450-slip marina and boat launch, two restaurants, a hotel and 27 holes of public and championship-level golf courses.

Third Street Light Rail, San Francisco

The Third Street Light Rail Project is a new light rail line (full revenue service began in April 2007) that extends from the existing Caltrain commuter rail station near downtown San Francisco to the southern city limits near Candlestick Point, providing cross-platform connections directly to the new Caltrain Bayshore Station.

Downtown San Leandro Transit-Oriented Development

BMS Design Group is leading a multi-disciplinary team in the preparation of a Transit-Oriented Development Strategy for downtown San Leandro. The study was funded by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission as part of its Station Area Planning Program, the goals of which are to increase transit ridership, enhance station access for pedestrians, bicyclists and transit and promote livable, walkable communities.

Oakland Shoreline Park Concept Plan

In 1995, the Oakland Army Base was closed and conveyed to the Oakland Base Reuse Authority (OBRA) for re-use. Upon closure of the Base, BMS Design Group worked with OBRA to define a continuous shoreline park and the approximate extent of parcels suitable for waterfront development. The site has spectacular views of San Francisco, Treasure Island and the bay to the west, and up-close views of the Port of Oakland's Seventh Street Marine Terminals.
