Theme Park Versus Landscape

Discover the relationship between theme park and landscape at "The Architecture of Reassurance: Designing the Disney Theme Parks" exhibit currently being showcased at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. Explore how they interact, how they affect one another, how both have evolved and, ultimately, how theme parks create an environment where synthesized dreams take on the sheen of comfortable reality. The exhibition will run in Manhattan, New York until January 10, 1999. It then travels to the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Texas, from February 14 to April 11, 1999.
