Research Indicates Good News for Landscape Architects

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Profit margins among design firms-Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Engineering-have increased significantly on both total and net revenues in the past year, according to a recent survey released by San Francisco, CA-based Birnberg & Associates.

Results indicated that the average profit on total revenues before taxes and distributions rose from 7.2 percent to 9.9 percent between 1994 and 1997, while profit on net revenues before taxes and distributions rose from 9.3 percent to 13.2 percent.
