Cross Alert Systems manufactures early warning systems for bike path/public road intersections. Our devices are solar powered motion activated radio controlled systems which are ideal for mid-block crossings.The Cross Alert System alerts vehicles to path activity where the sight distance from the road to the intersection is poor. The Cross Alert System does not alter the existing flow of traffic nor does it alter the existing Right of Way rules at the intersection. The system provides an advance active warning to approaching vehicles that path users are near or at the intersection. We use infra-red sensors to detect path activity and flash yellow warning beacons to approaching vehicles that path users are near or at the intersection. A push button activator is also offered as an option with our system. Wireless signaling between poles allows the Cross Alert System to be installed without hanging or trenching any wires.
