CLASS (California Landscape Architectural Student Scholarship) Fund a not-for-profit organization shall be at all times organized and operated exclusively for charitable educational and scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Code. CLASS Fund is empowered to solicit receive and expend contributions to provide scholarships internships and fellowships at appropriate educational institutions offering curriculums in landscape architecture and industry-related fields of study receive and administer gifts and bequests to assist educational and scientific research projects and to grant and confer awards or citations primarily in recognition CLASS Fund supports to every extent reasonable the efforts activities and visibility of other landscape-related professional organizations to the extent given support is in line with its stated exempt purposes. CLASS Fund encourages involvement from the principals of firms in the green industry (landscape architects contractors suppliers and affiliated members) to accomplish its goals and objectives through interaction and fellowship while generating operational and endowment funds for scholarship grants internships and fellowships at institutions offering curriculums in landscape architecture and industry-related fields of study.
