Our members provide plants and landscape supplies to California and the world.

The California Association of Nurseries (CAN) is the unified voice of California’s nursery industry, representing growers, retailers, and allied businesses that provide plants and landscape supplies to California and the world.

Founded in 1911, the Association has evolved alongside the industry, operating over the years under several names, including the California Association of Nurserymen, the California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers, the Nursery Growers Association, and most recently the California Association of Nurseries.

Throughout more than a century of change, our mission has remained constant: to strengthen our members’ businesses and ensure a vibrant, resilient nursery industry in California.
