Ipe has a rich dark brown color distinctive grain characteristics. It can be oiled or stained to retain its beautiful color or left untreated to gradually age to a lustrous silver-gray. Ipe can be used near water with no worry of contamination. It is naturally resistant to decay, wet conditions, termites and other wood boring insects.
