PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Dirt Locker Hillside Garden Erosion Control planters in the Steep Detached model are individual recycled HDPE plastic panels that interlock horizontally to contour to steep, uneven, and curved slopes. The function of the Dirt Locker is to retain soil and capture water by creating a level planting surface where plants can fully take root. Water and soil no longer rush off the hill due to erosion but instead stay locked in place within each planter. Water is directed down toward the roots, while overflow during heavy rains is slowed in a cascading effect through the terraced system and absorbed by neighboring Dirt Lockers. Not only do these innovative planters solve erosion issues while creating a functional garden on previously unusable hillsides, they can also serve as a stepping pathway, allowing safe access for managing plants and moving up and down the slope.
