PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The St. Louis Zoo was voted America's Top Free Attraction and admitted nearly 3 million visitors each year. The lighting requirements for this project needed to be functional, but they also needed to work with an existing turn-of-the-century pedestrian bridge. We achieved these aesthetic requirements by utilizing Valmont's Tehomet wooden pole product line from Finland. The 18 square wood tapered poles paired with dark bronze fixtures and bases are enhanced by the scenery, manicured vegetation, and dark bronze railings and bridges. The arms and attachment brackets were custom made for this job to provide a similar engineering style as the bridge. Thanks to Valmont Structures' streamlined manufacturing processes and commitment to on-time delivery, we matched the lead times of the custom-designed arms and brackets, allowing for a smooth and quick installation process.
