Call for Speakers
The 2016 Landscape Expo - Long Beach is now accepting proposals for seminar presentations. If you are interested in sharing your knowledge and expertise at TLE-LB, to be held October 19th & 20th, 2016 at the Long Beach Convention Center, please submit a prospectus as stated in the Seminar Submittal Guidelines.

Seminar/Workshop Submittal Guidelines

Preferably, speakers should have a background in academia. Vendors with field experience are also encouraged to submit; however, all vendors must be an exhibitor for consideration (a fee may apply).

Seminar Proposal Topics
Presentations should include what's new, innovative and/or significant within the following general topics:

Business Management
Design
Equipment Operation
Equipment Selection
Hardscape Installation
Irrigation/Water Management
Lighting
New Construction Technology (Building Information Modeling, Drones,
Virtual Reality...)
Ordinance Compliance
Pest Control
Plant Selection
Soil Management
Water Feature Design
Tree Care
Turf Care
Worker's Comp

You may submit a request to speak on any of these topics, or any topic you feel might be of interest to landscape contractors, installers, or maintenance professionals. Each session should be 1.5 hours in length, but it is recommended covering content for approximately 80 minutes, to allow for 10 minutes of valuable Q & A.

To Submit Your Prospectus
All proposals must be submitted in their entirety for consideration. Please send your seminar proposal in either docx or PDF format.
• Identify General Topic: Turf Care, Tree Care, etc.
• Seminar title and a paragraph describing the course.
• Learning Objectives: Identify 3 learning objectives attendees will gain.
• Brief biography including contact information, professional accomplishments and degrees.
• Headshot image (this does not need to be professionally done, but needs to be at least 500 pixels).
• Any travel or honorarium request must be made with the submittal.

Selection Process
You will receive a confirmation receipt after you have submitted your seminar proposal, and later will be notified of our decision. Each selected speaker will be sent a Memorandum of Understanding to sign and will agree to promote the Expo and his/her seminar by two of the following: Banner ad on your company website, e-blast to industry contacts, social media post or by providing The Landscape Expo your email list in Excel.

Compensation
Each speaker will be publicized and their affiliation, institution or company will receive publicity through profiles, press releases and course descriptions on LandscapeOnline.com, LandscapeOnline Weekly, and LC/DBM magazine. All travel and honorarium requests will be
considered - must be submitted with proposal.

The deadline to submit a seminar proposal is Friday, January 29, 2016.
