Jim Bell, FASLA, FAICP


Jim Bell, FASLA, FAICP, a principal planner with Belt Collins, a landscape architect firm with U.S. offices in Honolulu and Seattle, has received the first “Planner Who Has Made a Difference” award from the University of Hawaii-Manoa Department of Urban and Regional Planning.

Department Chairman Karl Kim told the Star Bulletin (Honolulu) that Bell “has had a major impact on land use and development in Hawaii.?EUR??,,????'??

Bell joined Belt Collins in 1967. His work has encompassed city, county and regional planning, urban renewal, zoning and subdivision, and capital programming for government and private industry.

Bell is a fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects (1998) and the American Institute of Certified Planners (2001).
