Two Penn State Landscape Architecture Professors Set to Retire at End of 2024

Penn State will see three top-tier educators depart at the end of this year.

Three longtime faculty in the college of Arts and Architecture's Stuckeman School at Penn State are set to retire at the end-of-the-year.

Department of Landscape Architecture profesors Eliza Pennypacker and Bonj Szczygiel, who have served at Penn State since 1982 and 1996 will retire December 31 alongside Department of Architecture professor Katsuhiko Muramoto.

"These three members of the Stuckeman School faculty have dedicated decades of their careers to educating students and advancing research and collectively shaping practices that make a positive impact on the world," said Chingwen Cheng, Stuckeman School director. "Their commitment and invaluable contributions to the school, college, University and society are truly remarkable and deeply appreciated."
