Across the country, edible landscapes are taking root: Hermes Landscaping of Lenexa, Kan., turned their office's grounds into an edible landscape to hone design, irrigation and maintenance practices before promoting edible landscapes to customers. A student group at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., continually adds to a two-acre forest garden on campus. Seattle is planting a seven-acre forest garden, which will provide free food to residents and visitors. Maine lawmakers just directed officials there to plant edible landscaping around the Statehouse. The city of Helena, Mont., is planning to upgrade one of their parks' landscapes by making it an edible meadow, or "eddow." Don't let this tasty opportunity pass you by.
