ROLLING MEADOWS, Il.?EUR??,,????'??+Art Campbell, president of Campbell Sod, in Rossville, Kansas, received the ?EUR??,,????'??Presidential Leadership?EUR??,,????'?? award from the Turfgrass Producers International (TPI), the first such award by the organization. The award was an engraved silver bowl, which was presented during the TPI?EUR??,,????'???s annual business meeting in Dayton, Ohio. The Presidential Leadership award recognizes a TPI member who has demonstrated exemplary dedication and performance in a leadership role. ?EUR??,,????'??I have found that Art puts his heart and soul into whatever he does at TPI,?EUR??,,????'?? noted Stan Gardner. Mr. Campbell was first elected a TPI trustee in 1999, secretary-treasurer in 2002, and currently serves as vice president. He has chaired the TPI Water Policy Committee, and wrote the landscape and water conservation book, Water Right, Conserving Our Water, Preserving Our Environment.?EUR??,,????'?? TPI will honor winners from additional categories at its Midwinter Conference in Santa Barbara, Calif., February 19-21, 2004. A nomination form containing award criteria is posted on the TPI website at www.turfgrasssod.org. TPI members and nonmembers can submit names of qualified candidates by November 1.
