by Staff

Join Lindsey Purcell urban forestry specialist and principal of Lp Consulting Group, LLC on June 1st at 11am PDT for a live session to learn how to recognize the biological impact of pruning, the response growth of trees, and the impacts of structural pruning while earning CEUs.

Webinar Description:
What Do Trees Think of Pruning? -They may not say much about it, but how they respond to this important arboriculture practice is often not fully understood by practitioners. Often, pruning specifications and directives are provided without explanation of the biology behind our discourse. This session will provide a survey into the impact of pruning relative to physiological and biomechanical responses including hormonal reactions, phenolic influences, and carbon allocation, from trees to improve our outcomes from pruning.

Learning Objectives:

1. Recognize the biological impact of pruning wounds on trees.
2. Identify the response growth of trees and resource allocation when pruning live branches.
3. Recognize the positive impacts of structural pruning in the nursery and landscape.
