Join Lindsey Purcell urban forestry specialist and principal of Lp Consulting Group, LLC on June 1st at 11am PDT for a live session to learn how to recognize the biological impact of pruning, the response growth of trees, and the impacts of structural pruning while earning CEUs.

Webinar Description:
What Do Trees Think of Pruning? -They may not say much about it, but how they respond to this important arboriculture practice is often not fully understood by practitioners. Often, pruning specifications and directives are provided without explanation of the biology behind our discourse. This session will provide a survey into the impact of pruning relative to physiological and biomechanical responses including hormonal reactions, phenolic influences, and carbon allocation, from trees to improve our outcomes from pruning.

Lindsey Purcell
Lindsey Purcell, urban forestry specialist and principal of Lp Consulting Group LLC, has been involved in the community landscape and urban forestry industry for over 40 years. As an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist, he has served communities around the U.S. as a landscape and tree professional at the state and municipal government level as well as private enterprise. In his role as a presenter, freelance writer and author, Lindsey continues to provide many educational opportunities and products for professional arborists and urban foresters on a national level. His educational background includes an Associate of Science degree from Vincennes University, a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and a master's degree from Indiana State University. Lindsey serves as Executive Director of the Indiana Arborist Association and former extension administrator and instructor for Purdue University Forestry and Natural Resources. Lindsey is an ASCA Registered Consulting Arborist and holds the ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification as a certified instructor by the International Society of Arboriculture.
