Scheduled from mid-June through August, each one-hour webinar discusses applications, decision factors, water-saving technology, specification details and resources. Experts are on hand to offer advice about avoiding pitfalls and answer any questions.

The Summer 2008 Webinars will include the following five multi-part educational series: When and How to Specify Central Control; Specifying Water-Efficient Technology; Specifying Irrigation Systems Using Non-Potable Water Sources; When and How to Specify Pump Stations; Landscape Drip Solutions to Design Challenges.

According to Nancy Roth, channel relations manager for Rain Bird, the Summer 2008 Webinar Series offers valuable information for landscape architects at all levels of expertise.

“As irrigation technology continues to advance, it’s important for all designers to learn about the latest developments that can save them both time and money,” Roth said. “Our webinars provide the information they need, from specifying central controls to implementing the most innovative water-efficient products.”

Webinars are offered at both introductory and intermediate levels. Level 100 is an introductory level for architects with less than one year of irrigation design experience. Level 200 is an intermediate level for those with 1-3 years of irrigation design experience, and it also provides a good refresher course for experienced irrigation designers and consultants.

Registered participants will receive log in and call-in instructions via e-mail as an Outlook meeting invitation five days prior to the webinar. Each webinar is limited to the first 50 registrants, and registration ends five days prior to each scheduled session.
