Traveling from Rochester, Penn. to vacation in the Bahamas seems easy enough. However, wheelchair owner Danny Maier wanted to get on the sandy beach back in March. His solution, was taking Beachrings2 along in a army surplus duffle bag. Maurer and his girlfriend, Nicki Baer, have a bit of advice for wheelchair travelers. Invisible Structures Beachrings2 mats are easily rolled up, for use on a vacation. The two Colorado Sky Blue Model D rolls slightly overlap each other, with an installation size of 48 tiles. Applications include portable walkway/wheelchair beach access. "We would highly recommend them to anyone!" said Baer. "In fact, I am a member of an online SCI (spinal cord injury) bulletin board/community forum, click here. That's where I learned to call the airline and ask for the compliance officer with regard to traveling with items such as Beachrings for medical/disability use." All the couple had to do was get a doctor to write a letter of medical necessity on his letterhead, sign and date it. No charge to take these to and from U.S. destinations. They bought a 50″ x 30″ duffel bag from an Army/Navy surplus store which was perfect for them, and everything went great.
