The Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) recently announced the 2024 Olmsted Scholars, a program honoring landscape architecture students around the country who "advance sustainable design and foster human and societal benefits through ideas, influence, communication, service, and leadership."
Both graduate and undergraduate students are nominated by their program faculty. Then, two independent juries award scholarships to two National Olmsted Scholars and six National Olmsted Scholar Finalists.
This year, Nina Weithorn, a Master of Landscape Architecture student at the University of Southern California, was selected as the graduate scholar. The undergraduate scholar is Julia Li, a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture student at Pennsylvania State University.

 
The National Olmsted Scholar Finalists are as follows:
- Graduate Finalist: Cameron Coronado, University of Oregon
- Graduate Finalist: Aya Keskeso, Kent State University
- Graduate Finalist: Tatiana Veloso, North Carolina State University
- Undergraduate Finalist: Juan Perez, University of Florida
- Undergraduate Finalist: Madison Sanders, University of Oregon
- Undergraduate Finalist: Ellen Sedlacek, Louisiana State University

An additional 48 Graduate Scholars and 38 Undergraduate Scholars were also recognized.
