New Chapter Demonstration Project Oak Knoll Park Sculpture Park St. Louis, MO Over the past several months there has been a flurry of activity on the St. Louis Chapter Demonstration Project (CDP). Most significantly the project location was changed from Laumeier Sculpture Park, as indicated in the June 2000 LASN article, to Oak Knoll Park. This property is an approximately 20 acre public park located in an affluent community west of St. Louis. The focus of the project remains the same, which is to combine art and landscape architecture in a park setting, except at Oak Knoll Park we started with a clean slate and were able to develop locations to place sculpture. The culmination of CDP is a one-day charette with the local team, the clients and the world-renowned landscape architects. This event will be held at Oak Knoll Park before the ASLA Annual Meeting and Expo, October 27-31, 2000.
