Gerald Garner, 64, founder of Gerald Garner Associates?EUR??,,????'??+Landscape Architects in San Diego, Calif. in 1971, passed away at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla, Calif., March 8, 2007 from cardiac-respiratory failure.

Mr. Garner?EUR??,,????'???s career in landscape architect spanned 44 years. His firm?EUR??,,????'???s work included the Sheraton at Torrey Pines, L?EUR??,,????'???Auberge del Mar Resort and Spa, the Landing in Coronado and the Fashion Valley Mall. Mr. Garner designed many gardens in his career and also did private residential design work.






In 1973, Gerald Garner designed the Inez Grant Parker Memorial Rose Garden in San Diego?EUR??,,????'???s Balboa Park. The garden has some 180 species of roses and is only one of three rose gardens to receive the World Federation of Rose Societies?EUR??,,????'??? ?EUR??,,????'??best in the word?EUR??,,????'?? designations.


Mr. Garner is survived by his mother, Elda, daugher, Erin and son, Jason. Mr Garner?EUR??,,????'???s ashes were scattered off the coast of Pacific Beach by family members.
