The late Rich Chiancone served on the Board of Directors of the Ohio Nurserymen?EUR??,,????'???s Association, which is today known as the Ohio Nursery & Landscape Association.


Richard A. Chiancone of Concord, Ohio, enjoyed a successful and rewarding career in the landscape contracting industry. He was an elected member of the Board of Directors to both the Associated Landscape Contractors of America and the Ohio Nurserymen?EUR??,,????'???s Association (today?EUR??,,????'???s Ohio Nursery & Landscape Association). He counts among many awards a Plaque of Distinction from the Japanese Ambassador to the United States.

From 1982 to 1998, he was a trustee for the Cleveland Home and Flower Show, directing and supervising the largest public show in Cleveland. From 1993 to 2001, he was elected Vice President and school board member on the West Geauga School Board, where he was instrumental in developing and passing a $28 million school levy to foster and develop the school system for years to come.

From 1975 to 2002, he served as Chief Operating Officer of AJC Inc., of South Euclid, where he expanded the sales territory from regional to multi-state regions and was successful in acquiring city, county, state and federal contracts for landscape and construction projects, as well as negotiating corporate projects with Fortune 500 companies.

He was 57. ?EUR??,,????'??Captain Rich?EUR??,,????'??? is survived by his wife of 35 years, Frances, two sons, a daughter and many friends.
