MacPherson Wins 2006 Zimmerman Award

 

Erik MacPherson is the recipient of the 2006 Zimmerman Award, an annual honor sponsored by LESCO and awarded by the students of the Penn State University?EUR??,,????'???s Golf Course Turfgrass Management Technical Program.

David Zimmerman graduated from Penn State in 1978 before joining LESCO at the company?EUR??,,????'???s corporate office in Cleveland, Ohio. Zimmerman was diagnosed with leukemia soon after joining LESCO and passed away in 1981. In tribute, LESCO worked with Penn State to establish the Zimmerman Award.

MacPherson received a bachelor?EUR??,,????'???s degree in landscape horticulture from Nova Scotia Agricultural College before matriculating at Penn State. MacPherson will continue his career as an assistant superintendent at Old Sandwich Golf Club in Massachusetts.
