Myrick-Newman-Dahlberg & Partners, Inc., landscape architects and urban and development planners in Dallas and Austin Texas, have announced that Gary Bellomy, ASLA, has been named partner-in-charge of the Austin office. He has been with the firm since 1981 and is an active member of ASLA and an associate member of AIA. The firm also has appointed James Veltman, AIA, ASLA, APA, to the post of director of planning. Veltman has had 19 years experience in the fields of new-town planning, site planning and environmental design.






Jim Bevill


Jim Bevill of S. James Bevill Co. in San Juan Capistrano, has been installed as the 1986 president of the Long Beach/Orange County Chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association. He succeeds Gary E. Walters. Stacy Nord


Stacy Nord has been appointed Northern California district manager for the Turf Division of Rain Bird Sales, Inc. Nord’s responsibilities include providing sales support to Rain Bird distributors and contractors and serving as liaison between Rain Bird management and landscape architects, irrigation consultants and city and county officials. His territory covers Northern California from Fresno to the Oregon border and includes a portion of Northern Nevada. Prior to joining Rain Bird, Nord was with Nor Mac, Inc. for 17 years, most recently serving as branch manager for the Chico, California office…






Stanley B. Howlett


S & S Seeds announces Stanley B. Howlett as its new general manager. Howlett will be spearheading programs to expand and improve the seed production operations in the company’s newest location in Carpenteria, California. He will also be responsible for expanding the wildflower seed line and contract sales Howlett brings 16 years of experience in the seed industry to S & S Seeds.

Denyse Arles


Bob Bryant has been appointed a golf manager for Rain Bird Sales. He will be working with developers, irrigation consultants, contractors and golf course architects, keeping them abreast of Rain Bird’s new products, services and developments for the golf market. His territory includes Colorado, Texas, Arkansas, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming. For the Turf Division of Rain Bird Sales, Denyse Arles has been appointed sales representative. In her new position, Arles updates Rain Bird turf distributors in the West on product information, including product availability and new product programs and specials. Her territory covers Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico and Southern Wyoming.
