Harold Enger is education director for Spring-Green Lawn Care and recently claimed their organic lawn care program has represented a steadily growing segment of their business. However, the costs associated can be prohibitively expensive for many clients; Enger estimates only 5% of their customers opt for the 100% organic plan.
However, they also offer a hybrid program, which adopts some organic practices while utilizing some of the less-costly synthetic products to maintain affordability for more clients. They also still offer traditional approaches for the particularly thrifty client.
Landscape contractors might find similar success offering diversified programs by appealing to a wider potential client base.
