A key U.S. senator says the Highway Trust Fund has found itself facing a new shortfall of $7 to 10 billion, requiring another fix. This will likely delay construction projects.

The estimate comes as a House committee readies a new surface transportation authorization bill to replace SAFETEA-LU, pegged at about $450 billion. In a blog post about these developments, ASCE’s Government Relations team says the funding’s all well and good, but asks, where will the revenue come from? ?EUR??,,????'???
