Construction will only increase an average of five percent for 2015 across all sectors of both the residential and nonresidential industries, according to a second quarter Construction Outlook released by FMI Corporation today (report). The previous forecast, released in the first quarter of the year, called for average construction growth of about eight percent. FMI expects commercial construction to grow at 13 percent this year and then slow to seven percent in 2016. Construction in the residential sector is expected to grow at eight percent in 2015 while construction growth in the amusement and recreation category will come in at nine percent according to FMI.
