Concerns about a possible double-dip recession still lurk. While business conditions remained weak at the majority of architecture firms in June, firms with a commercial/industrial specialization posted small gains for the second month in a row, according to Jennifer Riskus, AIA manager of economic research.

However, concerns about a possible double-dip recession continue to grow amid other negative indicators. Design professions such as landscape architecture continue to struggle amidst a recession mired in its fourth year. Architects this month also report that basic design service costs tend to be more front-loaded in BIM/IPD projects than in other projects at their firm. ?EUR??,,????'??? Courtesy of AIA
