Concerns about a possible double-dip recession still lurk. While business conditions remained weak at the majority of architecture firms in June, firms with a commercial/industrial specialization posted small gains for the second month in a row, according to Jennifer Riskus, AIA manager of economic research.

Design professions such as landscape architecture continue to struggle amidst a recession mired in its fourth year.
