Bemus Landscape Joins with ETwater to Save 36 Percent in Water Use

With the ETwater solution, daily adjustments are automatically made and implemented based on local weather data. Further, managers can log in remotely via their smart phone, computer or tablet to make any additional adjustments they desire, without the need to drive to each location.

ET Water Systems announced that Bemus Landscape Inc. saved 36 percent in water use for a southern California Homeowner's Association the first year after ETwater smart controllers were installed with the ETwater Manager online irrigation management system.

Bemus Landscape Inc., a Southern California landscape management company specializes in HOAs and commercial properties, partnered with ETwater to help them manage multiple properties.

According to irrigation specialist Max Moreno, "Time and cost constraints made it difficult for our qualified irrigation specialists to make irrigation adjustments at each client site, at each controller, every time the weather changed, in order to stay within a month's allocated water budget. So we started a search for a solution to help us with these challenges and ran a two-year comparative analysis at a client HOA site between an ETwater controller and another controller."

The results from the comparative analysis are as follows: 36 percent water use savings the first year for the ETwater controller; ETwater stayed consistently under the allocated water budget; competitor controller consistently watered over the allocated water budget; ETwater used 23 percent less water than the competitor controller.
